Open Data develops the infrastructure those representatives consume: open, machine-readable standards for representing profiles, relationships and the evidence behind a claim, across the domains that matter most in people's lives.

The standards are intended for everyone, not just Beautiful's own products. Anyone building a representative, a directory, or a tool that needs to reason about who someone is and what they are authorised to do should be able to read, implement and extend an Open Data standard without asking Beautiful for permission.
